Ever have one of those events in life that left you wondering where tomorrow will lead you? The kind of event where you simply can’t sleep because you need to figure out the problem now? Welcome to the state of my life today.
Things are changing in our house. That isn’t anything new, we are foster parents after all. Change is a constant, but this change was unexpected, will affect everything we do and how we do it, and was nothing we planned on.
And I don’t have a clue how to lead my family through it!
At least, I don’t know how I would lead them alone. My only option, my own answer this morning, as I write, is to give it to God.
We Are Messengers have an amazing song which is the title of this blog post, “Maybe It’s Ok”. In that song, the chorus says:
Maybe it’s ok if I’m not ok
‘Cause the One who holds the world is holding onto me
Maybe it’s all right if I’m not all right
‘Cause the One who holds the starts is holding my whole life
That is my hope, that is my focus today as we look to the next chapter of our lives. God is in control, He has a plan, and we are just along for the ride!
So now I have to do what I hate and give up control. I have to let go of the reigns and let Him lead us where He needs us to be today.
